Heath Family Fund Project Grant
Closing date: Noon Friday 20th April 2012
The award is tenable within the United Kingdom and must be performed under the auspices of an Academic Department of Anaesthesia. Publications arising from the award should acknowledge the support of the ARS. The Heath Family Project grant will be considered for funding to a maximum of £15,000 per award. Any individual directly employed by the grant will be expected to devote the majority of his or her time to the research project. The ARS accepts no liability in a claim for compensation for unfair dismissal or a redundancy payment arising from the expiry of the award; contracts of employment will, therefore, normally require the prospective employee, in accordance with paragraph 142, (i) and (ii), of the Employment (Consolidation) Act, 1978, to waive the right to exercise such claims. The ARS decline to contribute to any other indirect costs
Conditions
1. A final report will be required within 3 months of the end of the project.
2. ARS support should be acknowledged on all publications.
3. Copies of all subsequent publications arising from this project should be sent to the ARS Grants Officer (Professor H F Galley, Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Aberdeen AB25 2ZD; email h.f.galley@abdn.ac.uk).

6. Where appropriate Ethics committee approval and informed consent will be sought prior to allocation of funding. All animal work must be performed in accordance with local and Home Office guidelines. No funding will be awarded until necessary approvals are in place. Note: The ARS will give priority to applications which have the potential to attract further substantive funding.
