The Anaesthetic Research Society (ARS) aims to support research by giving out a number of grants each year to members and non-members of the society who submit a proposal of high quality research, relating to either clinical or laboratory based aspects of anaesthesia or intensive care medicine. The Research Council of the National Institute for Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA) now handles administration of the ARS awards, including Project Grants, The Heath Family Grant and Vacation Scholarships, so additional information and application forms for can be obtained using the links provided. Our President's Prize for Undergraduate Research requires an abstract submission to our winter meeting, which is held at the Royal College of Anaesthetists, London.
